MauBank launches new branch in Rodrigues

MauBank Ltd has launched a new branch in Rodrigues on Thursday 2nd June during an official ceremony in the presence of Serge Clair, Chief Commissioner of the Rodrigues Regional Assembly, Sridhar Nagarajan, CEO of MauBank, and other bank officials and local personalities.

Positioning itself as an innovative financial institution, MauBank aims to promote a service excellence culture to meet the expectations of its clients in Mauritius as well as Rodrigues. It will focus on four main areas of activities, including SME, Retail, Corporate, and International Banking. The bank also has counters dedicated to SMEs, in order to foster entrepreneurship and job creation, in line with the government’s objectives. The new branch in Rodrigues will provide entrepreneurs with the vital tool, namely funding, which is one of the biggest constraints they face.

As from 2nd June, the public is able to conduct banking transactions through the new branch which is also equipped with an ATM accommodating debit, credit and prepaid cards, and allowing the withdrawal/deposit of money, checking bank balances, requests for checkbooks, mobile phones top-ups, among others. MauBank now has a network of 50 ATMs though its 37 branches, besides its 82 banking outlets at various post offices across Mauritius, Rodrigues and Agalega. The Internet Banking service, which is in high demand in Mauritius, will also be available in Rodrigues.
