LUX* Royal Raid by City Sport : Simon Desvaux grand winner

Simon Desvaux won the main track of the 13th edition of the LUX* Royal Raid by City Sport with the time record of 6 hours 17 minutes and 7 seconds. This trail running competition, of which the LUX* group is the main partner, was held on Saturday 12th May at the magnificent private estates of Yemen in Chamarel and in the heart of the Heritage Nature Reserve, in Bel Ombre.

The trailers had the possibility to choose between three tracks for the race, namely 70km, 37km and 15km. Jean Louis Robert and Aurélien Escolano followed the grand winner with a time of 06:25:06 and 06:34:36 respectively. In the women’s competition, Sophie Blard was first to cross the finish line with the time of 08:23:08.

The 2018 edition of the LUX* Royal Raid by City Sport welcomed 1,082 participants from around the world. In addition to the main track, there were also two other courses, offering panoramic views of Chamarel and Bel Ombre.

It was Ingrid Durand and Joanito Lebon from Reunion Island who won the Crystal Trophy 37km in their respective categories, while for the 15km Crystal Trophy, Alexandra Clain (Reunion Island) and Alexis Sevennec (France) distinguished themselves by crossing first the finish line. They were exhausted but it is with a sense of pride that the winners of the various tracks and categories have collected their trophy at the end of the day.
