Visite officielle de Modi à Maurice : message de la ministre Jyoti Jeetun

La ministre des Services financiers et du Développement économique, Jyoti Jeetun, a publié un message sur sa page Facebook à l’occasion de la visite officielle du Premier ministre indien.

Narendra Modi a foulé le sol mauricien ce matin. Il est l’invité d’honneur des célébrations de la fête nationale de Maurice ce 12 mars.

Voici le message de Jyoti Jeetun :

Dear PM of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji

As you touch the soil of our nation, the people of Mauritius welcome you with our deepest sense of brotherhood and friendship.

Whilst we are a small nation of just 1.2 million people, we pride ourselves in our deep roots to India, the country of 1.4 billion people. We share the bonds of culture, language and values. 

I have never been to Bihar, my ancestral home. My great grandparents arrived here 5 generations ago. And yet, we still nurture the common language and the sanskriti.

Our ancestors toiled hard and invested in the education of their children. We are today a thriving nation, a high income country.

We aim to bring further social and economic mobility for the people of Mauritius as you are doing in India through the #VikshitBharat Abhiyan. You are pioneering India into a global leadership position that every person of Indian Origin can be very proud of.

You yourself come from the #IncredibleGujarat, one of the fastest developing states in India, where the language of business and enterprise is spoken by one and all. 

We are aiming to foster major economic transformation. In this perspective, the economic ties between our nations, particularly in financial services, can become the cornerstone of a strong long term partnership. 
Economic prosperity is essential for peace and liberty and we will work tirelessly to achieve that ambition.
